62 natural light exposures at ISO 100 of a nice moth I've encountered a couple of times last season, Emmelia trabealis - Noctuidae .

The stack was a challenge to process in Zerene Stacker, quite a big one. Disabling Brightness option in Zerene did help a lot but it also required to manually process a part of the exposures.

The black levels could be processed a little bit higher but I prefered to leave the subtle nuances of black and white visible in the HD version.

Photographed on 04.08.2012.

Equipment: Canon EOS 5D Mark II, reversed Rodenstock APO-Rodagon-D 75/4.5 lens on Nikon PB-6 bellows.

very nice Cristian if I am not mistaken is also very small as a moth, I really like the faint staining that you left ;-)

I know the subject and despite its small size has the ability to put the photographer in crisis. In fact, his trapezoidal wings have the need for a large depth of field, light and dark colors more than a little deceiving the exposure meter.

Subject is very difficult because of the color and shape, taken in a superlative way.

Complimenti!

I think it's one of those subjects really difficult to capture so well!
Congratulations, your focus stacking are a guide for all of us.
In addition, many thanks for the valuable words that always spend on our shots.
We're starting with a good guide but everything is easier.

Congratulations!
