Winter in Landmannalaugar sent on March 15, 2025 (13:09) by Giacomo Feroldi. 8 comments, 120 views. [retina]

It's kind of a great abstract natural, beautiful light.

... Here is the mystery revealed (in the caption)! :-D The Highlands in winter!! What an emotion it must have been! But I guess you had to rely on some local agency to reach them!

Yes, it was crazy as an experience. Photographically speaking less, because I don't think I brought out much, but in itself it was very beautiful. I relied on an agency that organizes excursions all year round there with super jeeps. Seeing Landmannalaugar with only our jeep and the ranger's jeep had a certain effect :-) In summer the area certainly has much more potential, as you have also seen; In winter it is surprising but unsettling, at least it was for me also because from the street everything appears indistinguishable. A lot also depends on the weather conditions, because I have seen amazing shots of the Highlands in winter, but it is certainly very particular and I recommend it.
Greetings,
Giacomo
