An excellent pdr, very apt. In April 1981 it was my first trip to Africa, moreover, the first outside Europe. As an asthmatic, I struggled to enter the great pyramid, but those legendary places convey a priceless emotion and overshadow every other thought. At the time I had no photographic equipment, too bad for the places and also because I met the legendary Niki Lauda at the Sheraton hotel in Heliopolis. Together with my group of the Italian Touring Club, with an Egyptologist from the Turin museum, there was also Mr. Paolo Piffarerio, sketch artist and illustrator of the comic Alan Ford. Who knows when I will be able to return to see the enormous changes of this almost half century 8-)
