Busójárás è una festa dalle origini secolari che si svolge nella cittadina di Mohács, nell'Ungheria meridionale. Ogni anno i Buso sfilano lungo le vie del paese con le loro tipiche maschere che la tradizione vuole abbiano terrorizzato a tal punto l'invasore turco da infine riuscire a cacciarlo dai territori occupati. Oggigiorno è una ricorrenza (da noi perlopiù sconosciuta) che richiama migliaia e migliaia di persone dall'Ungheria così come dalle vicine Croazia e Serbia e che si svolge nel periodo di carnevale. Le strade di Mohács si animano tra il frastuono continuo dei kereplo (i nostrani tricchetracche, alcuni di dimensioni mostruose) e profumi di paprika e pesce fritto. Al culmine della festa nella piazza principale viene bruciata, in un enorme falò, la tomba che rappresenta l'inverno, dando simbolico inizio ad una nuova primavera. ©PaoloFurlan2023
