19/02/25 Frerone m. 2670. C'è l' escursione in montagne e c'è anche l'occasione di incontro tra amici: c'è Bruno con suo figlio Daniele, c'è Silvie e c'è Giancarlo che per il dopo-gita ha in programma una ricca merenda nella sua bella casa a Anfo e quindi si punta al Frerone dal Gaver m. 1450. Si parte nella nebbia e si spera di sbucare nel sole come sta succedendo da diversi giorni. Ma stavolta la nebbia non si dissolve a 1400 m. bensì a 2200 m. quando raggiungiamo il passo dell'Asino. Finalmente al sole attraversiamo la piana e risaliamo la pala che ci mostra lo spettacolo del mare di nebbia da cui sbucano le montagne. La salita impegnativa ci porta fino in vetta al Frerone m. 2670, allo scadere delle 4 ore. Gran bella vista e ci attrezziamo per la discesa che sarà anch'essa impegnativa: le parti esposte al sole sono indurite e crostose e, tranne alcuni rari tratti un poco più gestibili, ci obbligherà a una discesa di sopravvivenza. Si rimettono le pelli per tornare al passo dellAsino e anche la discesa nella valle di Cadino sarà complicata dalla neve indurita. Solo dal Goletto di Gaver ci sarà respiro, come in pista e si ritorna alla macchina.
