Oh, oh, horse... sent on February 17, 2025 (17:08) by Marcello Massaro. 13 comments, 107 views. [retina]

at 41mm, 1/6 f/4.0, ISO 100, hand held. Padova, Italy.

Stefano, Carlo: thanks to both of you for the passage and for the appreciation.
The "Salone" (the upper hall of the Palazzo della Ragione) is one of the largest suspended classrooms in Europe. It measures about 82 x 27 meters and has a single roof in the shape of an inverted ship's hull. The size of the horse is definitely important and impressive. For those passing through Padua, visiting this palace and learning about its history is... An obligation! :-P
Greetings,
Marcello

Not at all easy to manage light in this context
(... I tried too but with disappointing results).
Your shot is very nice and the caption is very interesting, congratulations!

Hello Juliet!
Nice to see visits and comments from the Paduans... :-)
It was on Sunday morning, around 11 am. In fact, the light in there is 'strange'... The room is still rather dark, but quite strong light entered through the windows in front and the 'portholes' at the top. I worked a little in PP on shadows and contrast to prevent the image from being 'flat'.
Thank you so much for lingering, and for your compliments, very welcome!
Greetings,
Marcello
