Only rose brambles sent on February 16, 2025 (17:01) by Giuseppe Guadagno. 50 comments, 1535 views.

, 1/8 f/32.0, ISO 100, tripod. Rimini, Italy.

Patrizio1948, Gion65, Daniele Tucci I am very happy that you too share my feelings towards this small forgotten war cemetery.

Excited photos also reading the beautiful caption. I understand the state of mind and I share it.
It must be taken into account that for many of them the close family members may no longer be there or far from the mother country.
However, it remains a nice gesture on the part of the municipality if periodic maintenance were renewed

Gianni, there is a particular thing in this too: it is not the Municipality that does the maintenance but the English Commonwealth that still takes care of its old allies, after more than eighty years. Every spring he sends a team of gardeners to take care of the roses and every 15-20 days they go to cut the grass that is impeccable all year round, a carpet. Next to each tombstone a red rose blooms.

Nice shot that perfectly captures the forgotten atmosphere of the place. Wars are useless and over time the memory of those who sacrificed their lives is also erased.
Good and careful to propose it.

As contemporary facts show, man is quick to forget and remember what is convenient
An appropriate title for the drama of the image

Sad testimony, let's hope that at least the roses have the strength to bloom !hello Renata

You sleep buried in a wheat field
, it is not the rose, it is not the tulip
that keeps watch over you from the shadow of the ditches
, but it is a thousand red poppies...

These places are very cold even in summer because they are places of death... of a life that no longer exists, forgotten by everyone and the description you make of it is very beautiful and sad at the same time!
A place that you have been able to tell, in every sense, very well!

Congratulations Giuseppe,
a very beautiful and intense image that should make you reflect on how stupid and useless all wars are.

An emotional shot that makes you think, I share your state of mind.
It is comforting and admirable that the Commonwealth takes care of this small cemetery in this way, surely no other body would do better.
Congratulations Giuseppe, this shot and the accompanying caption demonstrate your nobility of soul.

Beautiful and moving.
Noble your thought, with words that accompany the shot in an adequate and sensitive way.
Congratulations Giuseppe!
