Qui la veduta di una parte di ciò che resta delle Officine Breda, storica fabbrica del padovano (siamo nel comune di Cadoneghe, immediata periferia della città). Nata nel 1917 e ricostruita subito dopo la fine della seconda guerra mondiale, la fabbrica (fonderia e lavorazione metalli) è stata negli anni del dopoguerra un importantissimo polo lavorativo ed ha visto nascere al suo interno le prime lotte operaie negli anni '60 e successivi. Ciò che ne resta, esempio di pura archeologia industriale, sta ora tra un giardino pubblico comunale (da dove ho scattato questa foto) ed un complesso abitativo di quartiere popolare. Certo che la vista da quelle terrazze...

Scatto che in realtà è poca cosa (un domenica di clima padano orribile con il cielo completamente coperto), mi aggiravo per la città 'armato' della sola vecchia compatta Sony per raccogliere le prime tracce di quello che vorrei diventasse un vero e proprio progetto riguardante l'archeologia industriale nella mia zona, soprattutto ciò che ci resta (spesso inurbato nelle realtà abitative) a testimoniare un passato recente che è stato stravolto e fagocitato dal (cosiddetto) progresso. Ho intitolato la galleria 'Abbandoni', in realtà il progetto potrebbe riguardare ogni tipo di abbandono... E mi fermo qui.
Mi fa in ogni modo immenso piacere constatare che - a dispetto della scarsa qualità dell'immagine presentata - questo spunto (che per ora è come il bozzetto di un quadro che verrà dipinto più avanti nel tempo) ha suscitato interesse ed apprezzamento da parte vostra.
