A Cagnola di Cartura (PD), una veduta del fabbricato che fu sede dello zuccherificio Montesi. Parte dell'edificio è già stata ristrutturata e riconvertita per uso commerciale/direzionale, mentre l'ala nord rimane in completo abbandono, testimone di un periodo di florida attività industriale ormai passato e quasi dimenticato. La fabbrica venne costruita a tempo di record tra il 1935 ed il 1936, in pieno ventennio di autarchia, per conto di Ilario Montesi, imprenditore illuminato che divenne in breve tempo il 're dello zucchero', fondando un vero e proprio impero, poi confluito nella Eridania Zuccheri.
