Una foto davvero unica e rara. La Poiana multicolore... Le Madonie segrete. Questo bellissimo individuo di Poiana (Buteo buteo) presenta un anomalia asimmetrica della colorazione dell'ala. È un termine che si riferisce a una condizione in cui le ali di un individuo, (più comune negli insetti, farfalle e falene) presentano differenze di colore tra il lato destro e il lato sinistro. In questo caso, un'ala è di un marroncino chiaro, mentre l'altra è nera/marrone scuro. È un evento eccezionale, qualcosa che non capita di certo tutti i giorni. Ho chiesto anche a naturalisti e biologi, anche quelli a fine carriera, e mi hanno confessato di non aver mai visto nulla di simile. Non riesco a trovare le parole per descrivere l'emozione che le Madonie mi stanno regalando. Queste sono le Madonie, insieme ai miei sacrifici, rappresentano un insieme di biodiversità unica.
