Il gatto selvatico. Le Madonie segrete... Oggi ho avuto un altro piacevole incontro diurno con un giovane gatto selvatico (Felis silvestris), elegante con il suo pelo invernale. Le caratteristiche che lo rendono un selvatico sono: la coda grossa con anelli neri separati, quattro strie nere sulla nuca e una vertebrale. È incredibile pensare che sia la quarta volta che riesco a fotografare questo meraviglioso felino, nulla accade per caso... La mia profonda conoscenza degli habitat e la pazienza degli appostamenti mi regalano emozioni che non possono essere descritte a parole. Le Madonie, con la loro bellezza selvaggia, meritano rispetto e attenzione. Sono stanco di sentire le solite chiacchiere da salotto. Abbiamo un potenziale naturalistico immenso, ma purtroppo, rispetto ad altre Regioni, siamo indietro anni luce. La mancanza di un vero interesse per la conservazione della natura è un tema che mi preoccupa. E mentre terminiamo gennaio in bellezza, spero che sempre più persone possano apprezzare e proteggere queste meraviglie naturali, così da garantirne la sopravvivenza per le generazioni future.
