at 270mm, 1/100 f/8.0, ISO 400, hand held.

The sensation is also remarkable to the touch. Hard to imagine a "soft" ice huh?!

A phenomenon that I have only seen a couple of times Mary, certainly very interesting. With the right weather conditions you could have dared a very effective backlight, never mind.
Thanks for passing by and good light!

Thank you! The photo itself is purely descriptive, it has no aesthetic purposes. However, I found the phenomenon interesting to the point of wanting to share it.

I thank you, all of you, for the interest you have shown. The phenomenon is curious, fascinating, perhaps even more to the touch than to the eye. I hope to be able to document it again, and better than this, as soon as possible.

Thank you for your comments, who knows if during the last tail strokes of winter I will be lucky enough to witness this phenomenon again, perhaps in better environmental conditions.
