Chile “the cut project “. Ciò che è poco noto dei capelli umani è che essi possono diventare un compost o un pacciame che aiuta le piante a trarre nutrimento dal suolo, oppure può diventare una barriera contro l'inquinamento nei nostri mari, trattenendo gli idrocarburi e pulendo le nostre acque. Una prova che i nostri corpi sono più connessi al nostro pianeta di quanto ci rendiamo conto, determinati come siamo a disconnetterci continuamente dalla natura. Per raccontare questa eterna metamorfosi dei nostri capelli, ho usato la danza più metamorfica che ci sia, il Butoh, di origine giapponese. Come ambientazione ho utilizzato la spiaggia distopica di Puchuncavi in Cile, violata da enormi tubi colorati che trasportano idrocarburi e gas naturale dalle petroliere alla fonda al largo fino alle decine di industrie lungo la costa. Quest'area è anche testimone di molte proteste da parte della popolazione locale che si lamenta dell'aumento delle malattie causate da agenti inquinanti. Qui ho inscenato una lotta simbolica tra i capelli e il petrolio. Il ballerino vestito di nero (Marco Marcel) danza tra le chiazze di petrolio, il ballerino vestito di bianco (Andres Gutierrez) danza tra i lunghi budelli piene di capelli, progettati da diverse organizzazioni ambientaliste per catturare le fuoriuscite di petrolio nei mari.
