Anatis ocellata (coccinella dagli occhi) presenta un numero variabile di macchie nere solitamente 15÷18 su fondo rosso. Ogni punto è circondato da un alone giallastro. Il pronoto è nero con uno spesso segno bianco a forma di U e due piccole macchie bianche. Le antenne sono marroni e le gambe sono nere e marroni. Anatis ocellata è un grande coccinellide, con una lunghezza del corpo di 7÷8,5 mm. Sia le coccinelle larvali che quelle adulte si nutrono principalmente di afidi sui pini, in particolare l'afide grigio ceroso dell'ago del pino.
