Thank you for your kind works and taking the time to stop and view my images. This image was taken at sunrise in Valley of Fire state park (Nevada). Fire Wave is an area within the park; a valley within a valley. The sun was just rising over the hills behind me and began lighting up the hill in front of me. However, it was not high enough to completely illuminate the depression I was standing in. I liked the juxtaposition of the cool shadows and warming light beginning to emerge. BTW: This image was NOT Handheld, I used my tripod but I cannot remember the shutter speed.
