Si tratta di un mosaico di 4 pannelli in un Classico Hubble Palette S2HaO3 . Questo tipo di immagine derivante da filtri selettivi ci indica che siamo in presenza di "colore mappato" e non "falsi colori " . La mappatura come ad esempio la S2HaO3 comporta una precisa assegnazione delle frequenze dei filtri ai canali RGB con caratteristiche e tonalità tipiche , mentre per "falsi colori" si intende uno schema identificativo supportato da una palette che non necessariamente attiene alle emissioni gassose . Entrambe sono legittime per aumentare la leggibilità del soggetto ma solo il colore mappato descrive con precisione la collocazione delle emissioni intercettate con i filtri narrow . Mauro
