at 24mm, 1/80 f/4.0, ISO 4000, hand held. Siena, Italy.

All'ingresso del Museo dell' Opera, uno dei più antichi in Italia (istituito da 1869 negli ambienti ricavati dalla chiusura delle prime tre campate della navata del Duomo trecentesco mai realizzato), vi si trovano le statue e la vetrata originaria che si trovava in facciata al momento della costruzione. Sullo sfondo, come un apparizione, si trovano i vetri ancora brillanti come furono voluti e realizzati tra il 1287 ed il 1290 da Duccio di Buoninsegna per l' "occhio absidale" della Cattedrale. Con un diametro di 6 metri riporta tre storie della Vergine mentre nei triangoli sono rappresentati gli Evangelisti. E' semplice e magico al tempo stesso rimanere assorti e rapiti dal gioco di luci e cromatismi...in un luogo dove si respira il tempo di quando la cattedrale era in costruzione.
