I grifoni in compagnia del monaco. Io lo definisco l'avvoltoio della morte. Bellissimo assistere a scene del genere sulle Alpi. Quel giorno c erano addirittura 3 monaci. Alpi cuneesi. Dicembre 2024

Really an interesting and beautiful shot, documenting not so much the now consolidated presence of griffon vultures, but rather that of the much rarer black vulture in the Cuneo Alps. Recently, looking back at some old shots taken in the Cuneo area and dating back to the summer of 2023, I realized with great surprise that I too had photographed him in flight, albeit at a great distance. I hope for new future opportunities to meet him. Congratulations for observing it in a completely natural context and not in a typical carnage created for scavenger birds.
Greetings and best wishes,
Davide
