La Dactylorhiza romana è la più precoce tra le Dactylorhiza nella gran parte d'Italia; negli ambienti giusti, specialmente a quote basse (300-400 m) si può rinvenire anche a fine febbraio. In generale il periodo di fioritura spazia da inizio marzo a maggio; è facilmente riconoscibile rispetto alle congeneri per il labello privo di macchie e lo sperone ascendente, il colore va dal bianco/giallo pallido al rosa-fucsia. Nella mia zona è strettamente legata ai castagneti, raramente si può spingere anche in querceti e pinete. Con questa galleria vorrei creare una serie di immagini dal titolo "futuristico" in cui presento dei veri e propri modelli per la specie in questione; intendo sviluppare una serie di primi piani ben dettagliati di ogni pianta con uno sfondo il più possibile piacevole e uniforme.
