Le superfici in travertino vengono ripulite, le sculture restaurate e il sistema idraulico, un po' stanco, viene messo a nuovo. Ma perché tutti questi lavori? L'acqua, che dà vita alla fontana, è anche la sua nemica, contribuendo al deterioramento delle pietre oltre all'inquinamento che ha fatto il resto. Per fortuna, grazie a una donazione privata, questo restauro permetterà di mantenere la Fontana di Trevi in splendida forma, pronta per accogliere i milioni di visitatori che la ammirano ogni anno.
