at 130mm, 1/60 f/4.0, ISO 500, hand held. Roma, Italy.

Roma Mineral Show - Ergife Palace Hotel 8/12/24.

Amethyst? But I'm guessing. Well rendered.

No, it wasn't an amethyst, those (there were many) tend to purple and generally stay inside geodes.
I think it was rose quartz or something else like fluorite (which can take on a wide range of shapes and colors).
Thank you!

Thank you! Yes, the OM-1 WB does its job very well, considering that the Expo is held in a huge hall where areas of almost half-light alternate with very illuminated areas, and by various lights, a tremendous mix of neon circles, LEDs (white or bluish), and other yellowish lamps... Here it was also possible to obtain a pleasant background, I don't remember given by what.

Thank you Alessio! As stated above, it's not an amethyst, I think a rose quartz or a fluorite. Crystal of considerable size, moreover. Greetings.

Thank you Daniele, Warsz, Simone (Calcite? It could, although I think more Fluorite).

... well I put it there because I liked the name even if calcite is colorless :-D

In fact, it seems to me that it is whitish-transparent. But minerals are a strange thing, depending on inclusions or variations in composition, they can take on atypical colors in various cases.
