Absolutely natural, never torture nature. It is the typical position of Anthidium, that is, they rest by biting a small stem of dry grass. These hymenoptera are really small, we are talking about 2/3 mm of insect.
Photographed in a natural environment, it is a focus stacking of 20 images. Not easy, as they moved the abdomen, but I managed, using a smaller aperture, to choose the best photos.
