Chiostro della cattedrale di burgos. Completate le cappelle delle navate (seconda metà del XIII e l'inizio del XIV secolo) fu costruito un nuovo chiostro, al di fuori del cui perimetro fu riformata la cappella del Santo Cristo o della Madonna dei Rimedi, che si trova ad ovest del vecchio chiostro. Tra il 1899 e il 1911 Lampérez restaurò anche il Chiostro Nuovo, recuperando la sua forma originaria. Un terzo livello sovrastava il chiostro con piccole finestre barocche, eliminate poi dall'architetto che riaprì le finestre originali del chiostro. Il corpo superiore del chiostro non ha subito quasi alcun cambiamento, al contrario del chiostro inferiore che è stato notevolmente restaurato. Prima del restauro il chiostro inferiore era suddiviso in più vani, probabilmente durante i lavori di restauro fu rimosso il vano scala che era stato successivamente aggiunto. Il collegamento tra i due livelli del chiostro venne stabilito attraverso una scala in legno sotto la cappella di San Girolamo.
