Una debolissima cometa Tsuchinshan-ATLAS, fa capolino nel cielo la sera del 27 ottobre. Ormai del tutto invisibile ad occhio nudo, nonostante mi trovassi nel cuore della Sila, a 1800 metri di quota nei pressi della vetta del monte Botte Donato, si vede a malapena solo forzando i parametri dello scatto. Al contrario, in basso, mette in mostra tutto il suo splendore il pianeta Venere.
