Ad un certo punto durante la raccolta, quando i frutti sono stati fatti cadere dalla pianta, è il momento di convogliarli al centro della rete, arrotolandola e creando una sorta di sacco. A questo punto si separeranno le foglioline e i piccoli rametti dalle olive e si trasferiranno queste ultime all'interno delle cassette per essere portate poi al frantoio.
