Sabine Nights sent on October 11, 2024 (4:00) by Claudio Ricci. 83 comments, 1319 views. [retina]

at 12mm, 0.4 sec f/2.8, ISO 8000, hand held.

Interesting as a composition and beautiful sky and trees. I would lower the brightness / saturation in the lawn to better match the context.
Have a nice day Paolo, hello!
Elizabeth :-)

Thank you
Giallo,
Elisabetta (I had tried to lower the light and saturation on the lawn, but the photo became too dark),

Thank you Giancarlo, you are freehand and with this car it is ordinary, it is I who am generally afraid to push myself to these times, but he faces them calmly. It's not even that mind-blowing, considering I shot at 12mm. Given the format, they are equivalent to 24 FF and therefore the stabilizer had to compensate by about 6 stops. The combined action of body and this lens is given to compensate for "up to 8 stops" (which has always seemed a bit of an exaggeration to me), well 5-6 and even 6 and a half holds them up well.

Thank you Enrico!
As I said to Elisabetta, I tried to do it. But the lawn is a bit like the "point of light" of the photo, if I touch it it becomes too "dull".

magnetic light for a decidedly well-executed effect composition despite the real technical difficulty.
... excellent experiments

Thank you very much Simone, actually no difficulty, just that brief moment of "tension" when the shutter speed seems infinite to you, and you feel the inevitable slight oscillations while trying to stay as still as possible freehand (but Santo Stabilizer solves everything for you).

Excellent shot ever, incredible considering the difficulties of controlling a light coming from a street lamp. :-or
Really congratulations

Thank you very much! In reality, the possibilities of very long exposure (for the free hand) given by the stabilizer, the fact that the lens is "sharp" at f2.8 and the efficiency of rendering even from very high isos, make everything simple. The little light present is amplified a lot, and the AI noise reduction incredibly optimizes the signal-to-noise ratio (it never ceases to surprise me, yet I was among the first to use DxO's when it first came out with these techniques - here, however, it is that of Adobe Camera Raw).

Magnificent night scene. A seemingly impossible freehand shot, miracles of the stabilizer and modern techniques in
pp.Sincere congratulations.
Roberto
