L'intento era quello di ritrarre il grazioso borgo e il suo importante santuario mariano nel periodo della fioritura del loto, che in questa zona riempie letteralmente il corso del fiume Mincio, il quale, prima di dare vita ai tre laghi di Mantova si trasforma in un dedalo di canali, quasi fosse il delta di un fiume. Pensavo che i fiori si vedessero da una ripresa aerea, ma non è così; forse perchè era l'alba e di fatto i boccioli non erano ancora completamente schiusi, ma più tardi non avrei trovato una luce radente così... Però alla fine sono soddisfatto di questa inquadratura che mostra il borgo e l'ambiente circostante quasi abbracciare il santuario...
