Mantella baroni è una specie di piccola rana velenosa della famiglia Mantellidae. È una delle circa 220 specie di rane endemiche del Madagascar. I suoi habitat naturali sono la foresta umida subtropicale o tropicale di pianura, la foresta montana umida subtropicale o tropicale, i fiumi e l'ex foresta degradata dell'entroterra della costa orientale, ad altitudini comprese tra 600 e 1200 metri s.l.m. È lunga solo 28–32 mm. La maggior parte degli individui di questa specie ha una colorazione sorprendente, che varia dal verde brillante al giallo, spesso punteggiata da punti neri o marroni. Esiste un'ampia varietà di fenotipi, che si manifestano nei colori degli arti anteriori che vanno dal verde chiaro all'arancione e al giallo vibranti.
