La mattina del 21 agosto 2024, alle 5:31 ora locale, si è verificata l' occultazione di Saturno da parte della Luna. Questa è una mia immagine estratta da un video in cui il bordo lunare e il pianeta si trovavano quasi a "contatto" poco prima dell'inizio del fenomeno. Si può notare la grande differenza di luminosità e di dimensioni apparenti dei due corpi celesti, con Saturno che è molte volte più grande ma anche enormemente più lontano rispetto al nostro satellite. L'evento è durato circa un'ora.
