"Zeder" è il film di Pupi Avati del 1983 genere horror/fantascienza. Girato tra Rimini e Milano Marittima ed è proprio sul litorale di quest'ultima in zona pineta, che si trova la ex colonia marittima “Varese” inaugurata nel 1939. Edificio di 5 piani caratterizzato da una monumentale griglia in cemento armato che la rende spettrale nel totale abbandono in cui si trova. Nel film la colonia Varese è situata su un “Terreno K” ovvero un terreno con caratteristiche tali da riportare in vita i morti che vi sono sepolti. A temporale concluso, il campanile della chiesa di San Giuseppe al Porto di Rimini mi ha ricordato la Varese e temevo di veder Zeder aggirarsi all'interno (scena iconica del film).
