La nebulosa Sh2-157, soprannominata "lobster claw" (chela di Aragosta) per la sua forma distintiva, è una vasta regione di formazione stellare situata nella costellazione di Cassiopea. Illuminata da giovani stelle massicce, la nebulosa emette una luce rossastra caratteristica dell'idrogeno ionizzato. Al suo interno, potenti venti stellari scolpiscono intricate strutture filamentose e cavità, creando uno spettacolo di colori e forme cosmiche. Questa nebulosa è un laboratorio naturale dove nascono nuove stelle e dove possiamo osservare i processi che governano la nascita e l'evoluzione di questi oggetti celesti. Il cielo della Sardegna, stavolta, mi ha giocato un bello scherzo, solo una piccola parte delle riprese infatti è stata utilizzabile, dalle 3:00 del mattino una concentrazione di umidità incredibile e una folta coltre nebbiosa hanno vanificato la maggior parte degli scatti. Credo si siano salvate forse un paio d'ore di ripresa a fronte di oltre 5 ore di scatti. Fortuna che il rapporto veloce del RASA comunque da una mano. Setup solito: Celestron RASA 8, ASI 183 MC-Pro e filtro a doppia banda stretta IDAS NBZ.
