Excellent composition!! A beautiful landscape and a beautiful caption... Surely the glaciers are in great difficulty and the photos testify to this. Congratulations and have a good Sunday!!

Amazing colors, wonderful panorama, beautiful panorama really!!
Yes you're right, in a few years the glacier will no longer even be a memory but a fairy tale,,

"A few more decades and the perennial ice will be just a memory and when they are told about their existence to children it will seem just a beautiful fairy tale"
Closing of a punctual, precise and impeccable description of the dramatic thermal inversion of the last decades. I look at this image taken near the north face of Presanella, which I climbed twice in the 80s and 90s, and what I see is an environment that has nothing to do with the grandeur of that side completely covered in ice. Dramatically truthful image. Congratulations.
Bye gios :-P

I too have done it several times from the normal, I have done the north and north face of Vermiglio with ice axes and crampons and once in winter with mountaineering skis.
It had been several years since I went back and I was impressed by how much ice has disappeared and I am nostalgic for the times when the glaciers were imposing.
Thank you Gios for the visit and for the comment that sees us in harmony on this issue.
Have a nice Sunday ;-)

Thank you Carlo :-P
true..... seeing the glaciers disappear is sad and it is also a defeat of the world we have created :-/

Your photo is beautiful, even more so if you look at it after reading the caption.
Real and shareable thoughts and when even the last bastion of perennial ice will be exhausted, perhaps humanity will really realize that it is self-imploding.
Nature does not die, it evolves, those who inhabit it become extinct, history teaches...
