Arch. Carlo Amati. 1832-1837. Venerdì 4 settembre 2021, 11:40. Questa basilica ha un orientamento anomalo, essendo l'altare maggiore rivolto a nord-ovest. E' la foto precedente in cui ho effettuato una correzione della geometria, onde attenuare l'impressione che la cupola sia a pianta ellittica piuttosto che circolare, come è nella realtà. … che però presenta presenta la controindicazione che, per effetto della deformazione marginale (dovuta alle ineludibili leggi dell'ottica), la cupola appare a pianta ellittica (come quella di San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane del Borromini a Roma o quella del santuario di Vicoforte) invece che circolare (come è in realtà).

Ho provato a correggere con DxO ViewPoint, ma il rimedio lo trovo peggiore del male:

Ora la cupola non è a base né circolare né ellittica ma ha una forma strana, che mi ricorda una mela.

Poi ho provato un metodo più semplice; stirando in verticale la foto tramite l'opzione “Modifica > Scala” di Photoshop:

Il risutato l'ho tovato migliore rispetto alla souzione precedente.

Poi ho provato quest'altra correzione; effettuando due simmetriche “compressioni” in orizzontale nelle zone tra il cerchio intorno alla lanterna e i bordi sinistro e destro; non toccando tale cerchio, dal momento mi è parso che questo si presentasse già con un'ellisse (poco più larga che alta) dalle giuste proporzioni.

Mi sembra che questa sia la soluzione che funziona meglio.
