Sono cavallette abbastanza grosse, e dalla colorazione vistosa, (aposematica) che serve ad indicare agli altri animali uomo compreso che non sono commestibili, perchè nutrendosi di molte piante velenose, il loro consumo provocherebbe un avvelenamento, possono inoltre se minacciate, rilasciare una tossina tossica che può avere conseguenze spiacevoli anche a noi umani. Quindi guardare/fotografare ma non toccare...
