Raramente si può vedere un Cavaliere d'Italia con le zampe completamente fuori dall'acqua ,questa situazione è dovuta ad un piccolo rialzo del terreno, tra l'altro cosparso di valve di mollusco, così si evidenzia la sproporzionata lunghezza di questi "trampoli" naturali. Parco Nazionale del Circeo
