Questi bei campi pieni di rotoballe, con i monti ausoni e aurunci sullo sfondo, e questo cielo drammatico, danno quasi l'idea di essere nelle sconfinate praterie dell'America e non nel basso Lazio. Filtro nisi ND64+CPL

Blessed are you who dwell in such a place! :-)
Very nice image and BN, as always, congratulations Antonio!
Have a nice day,
Alessandro.

Thank you Alessandro for your appreciation :-)
Yes, I must say that from an environmental and landscape point of view, I live in a beautiful area full of opportunities. When you compare yourself with everything else, linked to the reality of the place, the bliss begins to go and be blessed....
Have a good day for you too. ;-)

Antonio, holy words, but I think it's like that everywhere.
I live in the north, in the Po Valley in the most industrialized and at the same time agricultural part and I can tell you that there is not even beauty from a landscape point of view! Yes, there may be some beautiful industrial architecture but you have to make a lot of effort to find something fascinating to photograph! ;-)

Yes, yes, but in fact, as I said, from a landscape point of view, here they are in the panacea. ;-)

Among the b/w photos of the prairie series, this is the one I like the most, for the simple reason that the hay bales are not in some parts like the others overexposed, but more natural, while the sky is more realistic in my opinion.
Now just to figure out your choice.
Why did you want to get such a black sky? Where in the other images is it even more pronounced?
It's certainly not a criticism, but just a comparison of ideas, especially because in this period on a personal level I'm trying to experiment with b/w. However,
the photos are undoubtedly pleasant.

Thanks for the comment Pier.
Personally, in black and white, I tend to use a lot of contrast filters, to emphasize more the contrasts, between those tones, which once desaturated, would tend to become the same shade of gray.
The red, orange or yellow contrast filters create this black tone in the sky, because everything that is blue or green is turned to black and very dark gray tones.
And when these situations arise, with these beautiful arrays of white clouds, I like to have this strong contrast in the sky. :-)
