Autofocus - Breve raffica - Iso Auto e tempo minimo a 1/200.

Congratulations, despite the unfavorable conditions you got a beautiful macro!
Many species of butterflies spend the night hidden in the high branches of trees to escape predators, these habits also depend on the area.
I've seen places full of butterflies early in the morning, but in my area they are very rare, in fact I never photograph at those hours because it's useless. At night, on the other hand, I see many of them standing still or in the trees or on slopes that are impossible to reach with all the equipment.
Sometimes I'm lucky and I find specimens in the grass, but I remain convinced that the only way to photograph lepidoptera well is by breeding.

Thanks to Daniele and Marco.
@Marco: Thank you for your guidance. I thought they were high up in the trees and you confirm it.
When I can, with the time available,
I take a walk in the evening before sunset and look at where they land so that I can find them in the morning. Unfortunately I've never been able to follow Vanessa in this way... I hope to be able to do that one day. Raising a butterfly for the sake of photographing it is not my thing.

I also like to tell the stories behind a shot when they are there or are particular. It's one of my favorite butterflies ;-)
