Ed ecco i veri folletti della notte. Si tratta dei cosiddetti Lemuri topo o Microcebi. A discapito del loro nome sono paragonabili ai nostri ghiri: infatti passano il giorno all'interno di nidi costruiti di rami e foglie e sono attivi da poco prima del tramonto a tutta la notte. Si nutrono di insetti, frutta e linfa e sono tra i più piccoli primati al mondo. Se ne conoscono più o meno 20 specie tutte endemiche del Madagascar. Sono estremamente difficili da fotografare in modo accettabile perchè vivono nel folto dei cespugli e riprenderli è una vera impresa. (Microcebus murinus) Reniala Spiny Forest
