Complimenti.

Excellent image of "complaint" but with a considerable aesthetic value. The saturation exacerbated in this case by a higher gear. Compliments.

Ciao.

in response from the thread ...
technically it is done well, nothing to say ... but if the aim was to perceive the 'abandonment you did not succeed much in my opinion, if I had not read the story for me was a simple yard are a few elements that make you think the deterioration el' abandonment.
I find that most evocative of the lighthouse taken individually in b / w.
Hello.

indeed it is difficult to distinguish the abandonment that was already there, and the photo of the lighthouse in black and white is an example, it is in those conditions for tens of years, from what was created after. the abandoned truck, the dump, the median in cement, concrete breaker waves, the two beams of light are all legacies of work that began almost immediately and truncated. if it was a simple site I could never get into it, and find a truck with the doors open! :-D

Egix Referring to the topic I take this opportunity to speak my mind, you've caught the big scene and represents well what we want to convey ... I disagree with the colors too vivid and saturated, however, I would have preferred a version of "dying" and off, but you know everyone interprets it in his own way, too bad you do not speak only of a photo ....

eccola:

in fact, there is another version of this photo. shot from another side, and with an atmosphere closer to your vision.
here it is:

Definitely degrading, sucks to be honest, but we're not talking about this or else we end up in OT

Ciao
Barbara

I noticed that in many, lately, love to make images of complaint for degradation of areas, using HDR techniques and the like, but I think this will distract people's minds from what it is intended. In practice, the eye is attracted by the bright colors and fired that you see in the mountain of waste, or the reflection of the setting sun illuminates the side of the truck. It seems as if you wanted to sweeten the pill, instead of making it as much as possible bitter and unpalatable.
From your picture, you do not understand almost as if the truck is abandoned there, it seems only parked, maybe on, waiting for the guy go up and take him away.
I much prefer, as a picture of a complaint, the second one posted above.

but the intent of the image is not so much the social protest, in fact in describing the photo I was as succinct as possible in the context shooting, leaving, for those who want, the decision whether or not to read up on the various vicissitudes of the harbor. it was more like trying to "beautify" something bad.
It seems as if you wanted to sweeten the pill, instead of making it as much as possible bitter and unpalatable.
and that's what I tried to do it! :-D for the complaint itself, the other photo is one that lends itself better, oppressive atmosphere, the lighthouse reduced to a shadow, trucks in the foreground with obvious signs of neglect, looming sky (although a note of blue, almost of hope, I left the same!). maybe you will tell me why I wanted to
sweeten the pill, instead of makingas much as possible bitter and indigestible
(beautiful sentence that fits perfectly): I did it because I hope that something will change, and that we can make something beautiful that it already is beautiful!
