I particularly appreciate the title as I deeply love Terzani's books, I also find the photo beautiful. I really like the contrast of the vivid colors (and light) of the Carousel with the pastel colors of the setting. The two diagonals at the top to form an inverted triangle almost seem to support the carousel. Really good for subject, cultured moment and composition. Congratulations.

I also loved Terzani very much and I own many of his books.
I really like the analysis you made on this shot and I thank you from the bottom of my heart dear Renato!

They are poetic and romantic structures, and full of shapes and colors, I always photograph them but generally I don't post them because they are inevitably populated by children (I posted here a deserted one that I managed to pick up in a seaside town a few minutes before they turned it off at 11 pm). Maybe I'm exaggerating with this caution but you never know.

The carousel in Piazza della Repubblica in Florence, like all vintage rides, always has its effect and you have made the most of it: excellent composition and beautiful colors despite the somewhat bizarre weather
Congratulations Chiara
