I recently bought a book by the great photographer Giovanni Umicini, who lived for many years here in Padua, entirely dedicated to a historic Paduan tavern, the Anfora (title: Gli Anforigeni), photographing its interiors, but above all the people and moments in many years of frequenting it. They are photos (all in strict black and white) imbued with poetry and humanity. Really beautiful. It inspired me a lot! 8-)

Anch'io mi soffermo spesso a guardare, ed anche fotografare, i bar e le vecchie osterie, ci si trova spesso un'atmosfera particolare (per non parlare delle persone... ).
Ho acquistato da poco un libro del grande fotografo Giovanni Umicini, che ha vissuto per tanti anni qui a Padova, interamente dedicato ad una storica osteria padovana, l'Anfora (titolo: Gli Anforigeni), fotografandone in tanti anni di frequentazione gli interni, ma soprattutto le persone ed i momenti di vita. Sono foto (tutte in rigoroso bianco e nero) intrise di poesia ed umanità. Veramente belle. Mi ha ispirato molto!
