Fabio: molte grazie. Lo scatto è stato fortemente cercato, ma anche fortunato, per quel dettaglio del sorriso, scoperto solo in fase di postproduzione. Ma come diceva Marc Riboud, le foto si scoprono due volte.

Chi dice che la street photography sia "passa e scatta" per me si sbaglia. O meglio, può essere anche questo, ma devi esere tanto tanto fortunato. Ricordo un giorno al Cimitero Monumentale di Milano all'inizio del 2021, in piena pandemia. Una grande edicola in stile antico egitto, una piramide che proiettava l'ombra sulla ghiaia. I due triangoli, la piramide controluce e la sua ombra, formavano un rombo suggestivo, contornato da croci che contestualizzavano l'immagine. Quel giorno passai li' 2 o 3 ore, accovacciato, spostandomi poco per volta per seguire la punta dell'ombra. E sono momenti di vita vera, ti guardi attorno, godi di ciò che accade e aspetti. Per me questa è la vera fotografia di strada, non avere fretta ed entrare in sintonia con le cose e le situazioni che ti circondano. Quel giorno, dopo molta attesa, vidi in fondo alle scena due ragazze di fronte alla piramide, indossavano la mascherina, si abbracciarono. Scattai una foto. Parlammo e sipegai loro il mio progetto fotografico. Quella sera andai a casa felice.
