E' l'ora della pappa e delle coccole per cinque piccoli leoni, accuditi da due delle femmine del branco sopra un kopje, le tipiche rocce arrotondate che, isolate e distanziate tra loro come sono nelle “pianure senza fine” del Serengeti, sembrano delle isole in un mare d'erba. Lassù sono al sicuro. Altre tre leonesse sono impegnate in un'infruttuosa caccia al bufalo, di cui ho pubblicato un momento. La scena è molto dolce.
