Avevamo già incontrato questo branco di leoni, una quindicina di esemplari, il giorno prima. I due maschi dormivano sotto gli alberi, sazi del loro pasto. Le quattro femmine erano all'erta ma non ancora operative . I numerosi piccoli, di cucciolate diverse, erano invece attivi ed impazienti. Quando siamo tornati stavano per mettersi in movimento per una battuta di caccia. A prendere l'iniziativa e a guidare il gruppo una delle femmine.
