The village of Lavacchielli sent on March 31, 2024 (17:11) by GiorgiaF. 7 comments, 80 views. [retina]

Hi Giorgia! Congratulations for this "series" that tells the life of one of the many abandoned hamlets in our fantastic homeland. Over the years, people have gradually abandoned the hamlets, especially the mountain ones, to settle in larger towns, in search of work, fortune and well-being. Even in the valleys of Piedmont, and beyond, there are many hamlets that have become holiday destinations and/or piles of rubble. :-( Paul

Fabio, thank you!
Paolo, yes, there are really plenty of abandoned villages, and it is nice that, even if left to decay, they are not vandalized or demolished... They are a very strong and concrete testimony of a not too distant past.
Thanks for the comment and the pass!
Good evening
Giorgia

Merak.dubhe thank you for your kind words! When a shot is given a context and an origin, it often changes the way we look at it and appreciate it
