Martedì 5 marzo 2024. 16:08. Costruito negli anni '60 dell'800, tale edificio chiude il lato ovest della Piazza e la sua facciata è contrapposta ed esattamente parallela a quella del Duomo. Il passaggio, che parte dalla grande apertura con arco a tutto sesto che vediamo al centro della facciata, coincide con l'asse della navata centrale della cattedrale. Questo palazzo copre quasi per intero l'isolato tra Piazza del Duomo e Piazza dei Mercanti. In primo piano vediamo uno dei lampioni realizzati alla fine degli anni '20 dall'artista-fabbro Alessandro Mazzucotelli. Si vedano i link nel primo post dei commenti qui sotto. La visuale libera dell'edificio da questo punto di ripresa è stata resa possibile dalla rimozione di palme e banani, che facevano parte della piantumazione sponsorizzata da Starbucks, e che hanno suscitato non poche polemiche nel corso degli anni.
