alveo fiume Basento (PZ) - un'occasione unica, poter ammirare un nibbio a pesca in un fiume e riuscire a rubare qualche fotogramma. una di quelle cose che non ti aspetti, in giro a fotografare tutt'altro...e invece madre natura all'improvviso ti stupisce e ti regala scene indimenticabili. spero vi piaccia e vi trasmetta un minimo dell'emozione che ho provato vedendolo :) nel titolo ho messo "quasi" perchè comunque il povero nibbio è andato a vuoto ;) - 500 mm., singolo file RAW processato con CS5

Molto interessante (oltre ad essere una stupenda foto) poichè molti libri, anche autorevoli , danno come unico rapace "ittico" nel nostro Paleartico il falco pescatore (pandion haliaetus) . Il fatto che non ci sia riuscito non credo che implichi il fatto che non abbia già riprovato in precedenza. Chissà se è un fatto isolato o se i nibbi si nutrono davvero anche di pesci ...

in effetti mi è capitato di vedere nibbi pescare in grandi specchi d'acqua (ad esempio nella diga di San Giuliano, un grosso invaso abbastanza vicino a dove abito io) ma mai in atteggiamenti da vero rapace ittico, pescando nell'alveo di un fiume addirittura. non so onestamente se sia un caso isolato...comunque nonostante sia andato a vuoto ho potuto apprezzare un notevole "feeling" del nibbio verso l'acqua e secondo me quindi può anche non essere "una tantum" bensì un preciso comportamento facente parte della sua etologia Sorriso

in fact I've seen kites fish in large bodies of water (eg in the dam of San Giuliano, a big invaded pretty close to where I live), but never in attitudes to be true predatory fish, fishing nell'alveo of a river even. honestly do not know whether it is an isolated case ... however even though he went to empty I could appreciate a great "feel" of the kite to the water and I think then it can not be "one-off" but a precise behavior is part of the its ethology :-)
