A decidedly inhospitable place :-o
I have two curiosities, are the people with the yellow vests guides/safety?
In the distance I see what looks like smoke, is it the fumes of the eruption?
Looking at this photo brought back memories of the toxic fumes I breathed when I worked in a foundry :-)

Thank you all, very kind! :-)
@Beppe: thank you very much for the constancy with which you follow these shots of mine that want to be a story of the countless Icelandic environments! The ones you see in this shot, deformed by the value rising from the still hot lava, are tourists! ;-) This is the site of the eruption of the Litli-Hrutur volcano! The eruption was subsiding and so we were able to get very close in a surreal and wonderful environment!

Thank you for your visit and your assiduous presence! :-)
@Bepi: It was a wonderful experience, but we walked around the lava flow, even if some reckless people, in order to take home a selfie, climbed on the lava front despite so many signs that warned that even if the lava is solidified on the surface you can't know if it is still liquid underneath and if the surface can support the weight of a person... :-/

The detachment between the two floors is impressive... It creates a strange feeling!
Remarkable eye-catcher! ;-)
