con Nikon TC-14E III, 1/1600 f/5.6, ISO 2500, hand held. Specie: Discosura popelairii

Wire-crested Thorntail. Uno splendido colibri ripreso in Ecuador a 1500 mt di altezza (El Chaco dicembre scorso). Esordio nel forum per questo colibrì, il cui areale di competenza è ristretto a una piccolissima parte dell'Ecuador. Da segnalare poi la presenza di alcune ridottissime popolazioni presenti in Colombia meridionale e Perù settentrionale.
