1/640 f/2.4, ISO 12, hand held. Calcata, Italy.

What a spectacle to be calculated, with a wonderful view. Congratulations Claudio. But these smartphones, not bad I would say.
Best regards.
Herald.

Thank you so much Eraldo. It is not uncommon for smart cameras to give me images comparable or even superior to those obtained with other means (and with less work and more ease of shooting, handling, portability...), especially with a light like this. For a long time I have considered them cameras no more and no less than the others (and this one here is from 2018, I took it used refurbished and I carry it around without sim only for photographic purposes), with obvious technical limitations or related to too difficult lights. It's a bit problematic only this damn clear sky, which can favor a lot of banding and posterization artifacts. I'd prefer choreographed clouds but oh, 9 times out of 10, I go out, and there's this serene sky without even a cloud.
As far as I'm concerned, Calcata is the most beautiful village in Lazio.
Greetings.
C.

Very interesting subject that I didn't know.
I agree with smartphones..... sometimes they amaze...
To my taste I would have cut out the lower part with the road.
Congratulations Claudio. :-)
Greetings,
Roberto

Thank you!
I didn't cut it out because I wanted to preserve the small group of people at the main entrance to the village (typically they are often motorcyclists).
Greetings.

hello dear Claudio, first of all nice to meet you and very pleasant vision of Calcana. It is a country that had already interested me a few years ago but then I was never able to visit it. I hope sooner or later... In the meantime, I'm enjoying your shot

Thank you very much! In fact, the quality of the grain of this device is remarkable (In 2018 it cost a lot of money, like all flagship iPhones, I bought it used refurbished for two years ago, having seen the photos it took). Banding is lurking in the sky, the color depth is not excessive although the device uses automatic HDR by default that expands the tones and color gradation.

Very nice these houses that look like the extension of the rocks where they are built ;-)

Hello, I haven't figured out if they actually are, the town is also known for a network of underground caves dug into the tuff, and deep cellars.
